Are you a Senior Structural Engineer looking to lead cutting-edge engineering projects in the oil and gas, LNG, and petrochemical industries? We are exclusively recruiting for a permanent Senior Structural Engineer on behalf of Whessoe Engineering Ltd, a world-renowned leader in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, with over 200 years of industry excellence, based in Darlington.

The role deliver innovative structural engineering solutions

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be at the forefront of structural design and analysis, delivering technically robust solutions for complex projects. You will lead teams, manage design processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead structural engineering design on multi-disciplinary projects
• Develop and verify calculations, drawings, and technical specifications
• Perform structural analysis using Staad.Pro or similar software
• Ensure compliance with Eurocodes and industry standards
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and project teams to achieve successful project outcomes
• Provide technical support to site teams and subcontractors

What we re looking for:

• BSc in Structural or Civil Engineering (MSc preferred)
• Experience in oil and gas, LNG, or petrochemical sectors
• Proficiency in Staad.Pro or equivalent structural analysis software
• Strong understanding of Eurocodes and industrial design standards
• Proven leadership and team management skills
