About the Role:Our client is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their well-established design consultancy. This role offers ongoing technical design support to diverse UK clients, along with consistent work opportunities and prospects for professional growth.

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will handle design projects across residential, commercial, retail, and industrial sectors. Your expertise in completing design projects in these areas will be essential.

The role requires meticulous reporting and design capabilities. Your contributions will play a vital role in the ongoing evolution of the business. You will lead technical projects of varying scales, coordinating with both internal design teams and external clients to achieve well-rounded design solutions that align with client objectives. Structural assessments and inspections of new and existing properties will be part of your responsibilities, necessitating proficiency in materials such as steel, masonry, concrete, and timber.

About You:Candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience with UK-based design consultancies.

  • A background in similar projects to align with the company's existing and future workload.

You should also demonstrate:

  • A confident, commercial, and professional demeanor.

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • Extensive experience with Steel, Concrete, Masonry, and Timber materials.

  • Proficiency in British Standards, Eurocodes, and relevant design guidance.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and technical design skills.

  • Excellent written and spoken English communication abilities.

  • Chartered (or near-Chartered) status with the IStructE or ICE.

  • A full clean driving license.

Required Software Skills:

  • AutoCAD

  • Tekla Structural Designer

  • Fastrak Building Designer

  • Microsoft Office suite
