Job summary

Vertical Recruitment Limited is helping a well-established engineering consultancy in Newcastle recruit a Senior Structural Engineer. The role focuses on refurbishment, adaptive reuse and structural investigations for heritage and existing buildings.

You will manage projects end-to-end, mentor junior engineers, and build client relationships while delivering technically challenging work across the North East and beyond.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within a UK structural consultancy.
• Experience designing in steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Chartered status or actively working towards Chartership.
• An interest in refurbishment, conservation or existing buildings.

Responsibilities

• As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll manage projects from concept through to completion while working closely with clients, architects and multidisciplinary design teams.
• You'll mentor junior engineers and develop client relationships.
• Play a key role in delivering technically challenging projects across the North East and beyond.

The Role
