About The Role

Reporting to the Associate or Principal Engineer, you will lead small to medium Civil & Structural (C&S) projects or contribute as a key team member on larger projects, managing specific design packages. This role requires strong technical expertise and leadership to manage and deliver design packages to cost, schedule, and quality criteria.

Key Objectives

  • Manage and deliver design packages to cost, schedule, and quality criteria.
  • Manage small teams producing design calculations and drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with business quality and management systems.
  • Implement change as directed by the Project Manager.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience delivering structural engineering projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of structural design methods, codes, and standards.
  • Experience with foundation design, drainage, earthworks, and external infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to work within a fully integrated, multidisciplinary design team.
  • Familiar with CDM regulations and health & safety requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience delivering projects within nuclear, defence, public sector, highways, or contaminated land sectors.

Desirable

  • Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer (CEng MICE/MIStructE).
  • Knowledge of seismic design and ground improvement techniques.
