This is a unique opportunity to step into a key technical and client-facing role, helping to lead projects from conception to completion while mentoring and developing junior engineers in a collaborative, expert-led environment.

The Role

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will:

• Lead the design and technical delivery of a wide range of structural projects in line with client requirements.
• Review and oversee designs produced by junior team members, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance.
• Serve as a primary client contact, representing the business confidently in meetings and communications.
• Work closely with Directors to manage project finances, risk, compliance, and H&S procedures.
• Mentor and guide junior staff, contributing to their technical development and project involvement.
• Attend and lead internal and external meetings as required.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered status (MIStructE or MICE) or actively working towards it.
• A strong background in a consultancy environment, ideally with experience in industrial, commercial, or retail sectors.
• Proven ability to manage technical work and support project delivery.
• Experience working closely with contractors and developers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills – confident in meetings and able to build lasting relationships.
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring and helping teams thrive.
