• Conduct occasional site inspections and site visits.

Role Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. This is a London-based role with flexibility for hybrid working, depending on project needs. As a Senior Structural Engineer at Alemara, you’ll play a key role in delivering detailed structural designs, carrying out calculations and analysis, reviewing compliance documentation, and engaging directly with project stakeholders. You’ll work across a variety of residential and commercial projects, often in collaboration with both architects and developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce structural calculations, reports, and detailed drawings
• Lead design packages from concept to construction, ensuring buildability and compliance with building control
• Liaise with architects, contractors, and utility teams throughout all project stages
• Conduct occasional site inspections and site visits
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Senior Engineer (IStructE, ICE or equivalent)
• 3+ years demonstrable experience delivering residential and/or mixed-use schemes in the UK
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, UK Building Regulations, and common materials (steel, timber, RC, masonry)
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Organised, proactive, and solution-focused
