Senior Structural Engineer - Liverpool

We're looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Design team based in Liverpool. The team is designing a wide range of building types and site redevelopments across various construction sectors such as education, retail, blue light, conservation, and commercial, for both public and private clients. Location: Liverpool

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with some flexibility available.

Responsibilities

As Senior Structural Engineer, you'll support the Civil and Structural Engineering team by producing and reviewing structural design calculations, drawings, models, reports, specifications, and schedules. Your daily tasks will include:

• Coordinating design information within the team and with other disciplines such as architecture, landscape, and building services engineering.
• Developing and implementing structural design strategies, monitoring sustainability and low carbon targets.
• Visiting sites, conducting surveys and inspections, and representing the team at meetings with clients and other stakeholders.
• Mentoring team members in structural engineering and professional development.
• Assisting with obtaining design consents through Building Control and other statutory processes.

Candidate Requirements

This role is ideal if you:

• Hold a BSc, MSc, BEng, or MEng in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering, or are a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or member of the Institution of Structural or Civil Engineers.
• Have relevant experience in structural steelwork and reinforced concrete design to British/European standards, with knowledge of CDM regulations and UK construction techniques. Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and attending project meetings is essential.
• Possess a full driving license for site visits and meetings.
