About the Role

This nationwide Building Structures Engineering consultancy has recently established a Leeds office and is seeking a Principal / Associate level Structural Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities

1. Act as the lead consultant on projects, providing C&S representation and input at key stages of the project.
2. Ensure C&S requirements are communicated and delivered across the business and within your team.
3. Build on your existing experience and knowledge of civil and structural engineering design.
4. Mentor junior staff and develop structural/civil engineering designs through various project stages autonomously.
5. Develop engineering concepts and communicate them effectively to clients, architects, and staff in meetings.
6. Apply analysis techniques for the preparation of calculations for structural elements.
7. Manage the preparation of calculations by junior staff.
8. Break down complex structures into components for element design and communicate this to colleagues.
9. Represent the company at internal and external meetings.
