Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Birchwood, Warrington

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for leading the design process within the Civil & Structural department, including analysis, design, and interfacing with other engineering disciplines. This role involves hands-on analysis and design work, as well as managerial responsibilities for graduates, apprentices, and designers as needed.

To qualify, applicants must perform functions above those of a Design Engineer.

Reporting to: Principal Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparation of design documentation throughout the project
2. Development of designs to meet technical specifications
3. Supporting design calculations
4. Contributing to design reviews
5. Preparing technical specifications and risk assessments

Requirements:

Essential:

• Strong safety culture
• Knowledge of structures and foundations using Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steel
• Design experience in Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steel
• Understanding of structural steel connections
• Proven competence in design delivery
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Team player

Desirable:

• Nuclear or highly regulated industry experience
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
• Supervisory experience

Qualifications: Recognized engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, or Degree
