About the job: Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Derby
Salary: £45,000 - £58,000 (Salary Guide - To be Discussed In Person)
Working Arrangements: Hybrid

An award-winning, multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy in Derby is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team. You will be part of a well-established group of professionals with extensive expertise in the structures industry. The team is friendly, welcoming, and successful in delivering building design projects.

The department is currently involved in a diverse range of projects, including:

• Residential apartments, flats, and student accommodations
• Industrial logistical parks and distribution facilities with portal frame structures
• Unique and bespoke industrial projects
• Motor showrooms, workshops, and facilities

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer capable of independently managing projects and contributing to the delivery of design schemes. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will work alongside Principal Engineers, Project Engineers, graduate Engineers, and Technicians. You will have the ability to manage projects effectively and delegate tasks to ensure smooth delivery.

About You:

• Strong technical design skills using British and international standards, including Eurocodes
• Proven experience in preparing bids and proposals, and building client relationships
• Experience in designing reinforced concrete and steel structures
• Knowledge of BIM packages
• Ability to work on interesting and challenging projects
• Autonomy in leading projects
