We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our highly regarded, award-winning Civil & Structural team within our Hydrock Cardiff office.

We offer an excellent people-focused culture, engaging projects, and a clearly defined progression structure. As part of our national Civil and Structural team (250+ employees), you will have the opportunity to collaborate with divisions such as MEP, Nuclear, and Smart Energy and Sustainability.

The role will include:

1. Delivery of scheme and concept designs.
2. Preparation of detailed design, including full tender and construction packages.
3. Preparation of calculation packages for Building Control submissions.
4. Participation in client, design, and site meetings.
5. Management and development of engineers and technicians.
6. Liaison with statutory authorities, architects, the design team, and contractors.
7. Preparation of fee proposals and input into project bids and ITTs.

The attributes we expect you to bring:

• MEng or BEng in civil or structural engineering.
• Chartered or Associate membership of IStructE/ICE or working towards Chartership.
• Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, technical design, and drawing skills.
• Experience with analysis and design software packages.
• Ability to perform design calculations manually.
• Understanding of BIM Level 2 requirements.
• Developing marketing and business development skills.
• Ambitious individual who aligns with our values and wishes to grow with Hydrock.
