Job summary

PWHytek Ltd is recruiting a Senior Stress Engineer to support a major nuclear project on a 12-month contract inside IR35. The role offers a hybrid pattern at a Winchester site.

Candidates must hold live SC or DV Clearances or be eligible to obtain them. The role involves assessments, modelling, documentation and close collaboration with the design team to ensure delivery in line with the project scope.

Qualifications

• Experience with fracture and fatigue crack growth analysis.
• Defect tolerance assessments.
• Familiar with design codes and standards for safety-critical industries.
• Solid mechanical engineering experience with successful project delivery.
• Experience in defence and/or nuclear projects desirable.
• Ability to work with little supervision.

Requirements

• Fracture, fatigue crack growth analysis experience
• Defect tolerance assessments
• Familiar with design codes and standards for a safety critical industry
• Solid experience in the field of mechanical engineering with successful project delivery
• Experience working on defence and/or nuclear projects (desirable)
• Sufficient experience to carry out the role with little assistance
