Job description

Senior Stress Engineer - Permanent - Up to 70,000
Location: Kidderminster, UK
1 Day WFH after probation

We are looking at hiring a Senior Stress Engineer for an incredibly fast growing Aerospace company based in Kidderminster. As a Senior Stress Engineer, you'll act as the technical authority on structural performance for several products, contributing to: Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of hardware components and solid propellant charges under static, dynamic, and thermal loads.

You will be responsible for:
- Conducting Linear/Non-linear static analysis
- Thermomechanical and transient response
- Vibration and fatigue analysis
- Viscoelastic material modelling

Using tools such as Abaqus, Altair-Hyperworks & programming in Python, Fortran, Matlab, or Mathcad.

The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or a related field such as Materials Science).
- Strong knowledge of FEA methods and tools - preferably Abaqus.
- Solid foundation in material behaviour (metals, composites, adhesives, viscoelastic materials).
- Programming ability in at least one language.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite; CAD and Altair-Hyperworks experience is a plus.

This will be a critical position within an ever expanding Aerospace company, with a clear path for career development & training.
