Senior Stress Engineer – Winchester – BS EN or BS – Up to £64,000

Senior Stress Engineer required to join a growing engineering company based in Winchester.

The successful Senior Stress Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Lead and will be responsible for ensuring and executing design analysis that is fit for purpose to support delivery within quality, schedule, and budget.

This role requires someone with a strong working knowledge of BS EN or BS standards and Eurocodes, ideally with experience in hand calculations.

The Package:

• Salary up to £64,000
• 37 hours a week – Monday-Thursday (8:30-17:00) and Friday (8:30-16:30)

The Role:

• Serve as the internal focal point for design analysis, both internally and by subcontractors.
• Provide scheduling and tasking information to Lead Engineers, Project Engineering Managers, and Project Managers to support project delivery.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure designs are fit for purpose.
• Identify design solutions to address issues identified through structural analysis.
• Perform engineering analysis primarily through hand calculations, supported by FE analysis if necessary.
• Author and review design analysis documentation.

Requirements:

• Degree/HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or equivalent Chartered Engineer status (IMechE, IET) preferred.
• Proven experience in stress analysis and hand calculations using Mathcad.
• Strong working knowledge of BS EN or BS standards parts 1 & 2 and Eurocode 3.
