Overview
Expleo has an exciting opportunity for experienced Stress Engineers / Analysts. Based in Expleo offices, you will be assigned to a major new defence project, where your skills and experience in Structural Analysis / FEA will be fully utilized.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities within your role will include (but not limited to):
- Interfacing with UK-based teams to understand technical issues, specifications, and requirements.
- Undertaking Finite Element Analysis simulations using Abaqus CAE of marine structural seats, brackets, and bolts.
- Working with the customer to determine solutions for failed simulations.
- Writing analysis reports.
- Producing quality work while adhering to project budgets, time constraints, and accommodating changing requirements.
- Applying correct processes, specifications, procedures, and techniques, working with support from specialist teams.
Qualifications
- HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Essential Skills
- FEA Modelling.
- Abaqus CAE.
- MathCAD (beneficial but not essential).
- Microsoft Office Skills.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in stress analysis.
- Marine engineering experience is desirable.
