Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Stress Engineer to work with a business growing in the Nuclear Industry!


The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and verifying complex mechanical calculations, working across various analytical tasks, and supporting the development of innovative mechanical solutions across safety-critical projects.


The role is expected to be OUTSIDE IR35 (subject to CEST Test) and is for a minimum 12 month contract.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform and review stress analysis calculations for mechanical, lifting, and containment equipment.
  2. Guide and support design engineers with analytical input and technical advice.
  3. Oversee and supervise subcontractor work related to stress analysis.
  4. Liaise with clients to determine project and substantiation requirements.
  5. Contribute to the development of new methodologies to enhance calculation efficiency and accuracy.

In return you'll receive a rate up to £52/hr, for a 4 day week (with condensed hours so it doesn't reduce your earning potential), 2 days in office/2 days out of office, and a 12 month contract.
