LOCATION(S): London, Chester or Leeds
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time at an office hub mentioned above.
About the role
Here in the Embedded Finance team, we're a start-up business unit within Lloyds Banking Group Consumer Lending and are tasked with building out propositions that solve customers’ financial needs, when and where they are.
We seek people with a desire to learn, an ability to build thought-partnerships with a broad range of specialists across functions, and the patience and resilience to implement strategies that will evolve with changing customer, market and regulatory contexts.
What you'll be doing
We're looking for a Senior Strategy & Partnerships Manager to help us define and deliver the next growth phase for Embedded Finance. In this role, you'll shape our strategy and develop external partnerships to build future embedded finance products and propositions. You'll identify and evaluate new commercial opportunities, achieve buy-in from senior stakeholders, and drive prioritization.
Your responsibilities will include employing strategic thinking with an innovative approach to analyze gaps and opportunities in the B2B2C space. You'll build a deep understanding of customer needs and market opportunities to shape our product roadmap, engage with external partners and consultants to stay updated on emerging technologies and solutions, and perform commercial due diligence by analyzing financial and investor reports and market intelligence. Additionally, you'll develop financial models to interrogate opportunities, build business cases and plans, and lead programs of work to turn ideas into tangible concepts that can be quickly validated.
What you’ll need
Experience of developing business strategies, ideally with a management consulting background
Experience of consumer lending and Buy Now Pay Later market
Strong commercial attitude with the ability to understand markets and develop solutions with third parties.
Curiosity for open banking and new product innovation
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to influence collaborators, build consensus, and manage conflicting priorities
Tenacity and resilience to drive the business through the complexities of innovation and change.
