Job summary

GHD is seeking an experienced consultant to support advisory and consulting projects that help clients define strategy, plan investment, improve performance and deliver practical pathways to decarbonisation.

This is a client-facing delivery role suited to someone with several years’ relevant consulting, advisory or industry experience who is ready to take ownership of defined work packages while continuing to build sector depth, consulting craft and commercial confidence.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ relevant experience in consulting, advisory, strategy, policy, infrastructure, energy or utilities.
• Experience contributing to client-facing projects in UK energy, infrastructure or public sector.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and structured thinking skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication for client materials.

Responsibilities

• Deliver defined work packages across energy transition strategy and decarbonisation projects.
• Undertake research, benchmarking, stakeholder engagement to form recommendations.
• Prepare client deliverables: reports, presentations, options, business cases, plans.
• Support project management tasks: planning, tracking, actions, quality control.
• Collaborate with client teams and internal specialists to implement solutions.
• Support proposals, market insight and knowledge sharing across Advisory.
• Collaborate across advisory, engineering, environment, digital and delivery teams.
