Job summary

NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board is seeking a Strategic Estates Manager (NHS AfC Band 8a) to lead on estates planning across Cheshire & Warrington and adjacent areas. You will shape the infrastructure strategy and manage a portfolio of Place and C&M capital projects from inception to delivery.

Based in Warrington, you will engage with NHS and Local Authority partners, drive transformation, and ensure estates enables the Integrated Care System’s objectives.

Qualifications

• Master's level education or equivalent experience.
• Extensive leadership experience at a strategic level.
• Proven ability to negotiate with senior stakeholders and manage complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the C&M infrastructure strategy and five-year plans.
• Engage with NHS and non-NHS system leaders on the NHC programme.
• Collaborate with partner organisations to ensure estates strategies support the ICB objectives.
• Deliver estates projects to high standards, on time and within budget, leading priority projects.
• Resource community and primary care estates projects with appropriate internal or external support.
• Assess financial, sustainability and clinical implications of projects and advise on options.
• Lead negotiations on new developments to maximise contributions.
• Monitor sites and support long-term disposals/utilisation and moves.
