As Senior Story Editor you’ll read through submissions, and sourced pitches and scripts, and identify those that have the right ingredients for an outstanding narrative. This role requires a deep understanding of story structure, editorial processes, and continuity management. You’ll serve as both a critical evaluator and a creative partner, ensuring narratives are coherent, consistent, compelling, and well-developed, while fitting into Larian’s overall vision and direction.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the progression and consistency of multiple stories in development, both internal and external
  • Ensure narrative coherence, including consistency in character development, lore, and thematic elements
  • Coordinate with writers and producers to improve story cohesion and clarity
  • Maintain organized documentation, story archives, and detailed narrative records

Requirements

  • Experience in story editing, script coverage, narrative design, or publishing/editorial roles
  • Strong grasp of character, theme, plot, and structure
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to work across multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent written communication and story evaluation skills

  • An open, collaborative environment where ideas are welcome and encouraged
  • A managerial team consisting of highly experienced game developers at the top of their fields
  • Sharing hobbies and passions with like-minded colleagues
  • Inclusive environment with many activities organized by the studios or the employees
  • Commitment to making the best game possible for the fans, including listening to community feedback
