Job summary

DRVN Automotive Group in Coventry seeks a Stores Manager to own end-to-end inbound material, inventory and internal flow. You will build and run a lean stores operation tailored to low-volume, high-count parts, ensuring line-side availability, traceability and a safe workplace.

Responsibilities include overseeing goods-in, kitting, stock accuracy, and supplier coordination while driving continuous improvement and a strong 5S culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Stores, Warehouse or Materials Manager in automotive or engineering manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP stock control.
• Experience leading and developing a team.
• Good Excel and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day stores operations: goods-in, receipting, put-away, storage, picking and issue to production.
• Ensure material is presented line-side or in build kits to support the production schedule, with zero line stops.
• Design and maintain efficient storage layouts and location systems suited to a high-part-count, low-volume BOM.
• Manage controlled storage for specialist items such as Class A surfaces, paint-sensitive parts, hazardous materials, batteries and electrical components.
• Manage returns to suppliers, internal returns and scrap in line with agreed processes.
• Own inventory accuracy in the ERP/MRP system, lead cycle-count programmes and stock takes.
• Support procurement with demand and packaging standards and PPAP/ first-off part segregation.
• Lead, coach and develop the stores team, report KPIs and drive continuous improvement using lean tools.
