Job summary

Chisholm Hunter is seeking an experienced Senior Stone Setter to join our workshop team. The role delivers exceptional craftsmanship across repairs, remodelling, manufacturing and bespoke commissions while upholding our Cut Above standards.

You will work closely with the Workshop Manager, combining advanced technical skills with leadership to mentor colleagues and ensure quality, productivity and service standards are consistently achieved.

Qualifications

• Relevant jewellery qualifications or industry certifications.
• Experience in luxury jewellery retail or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of stone setting, repairs, remodelling and manufacturing across precious metals.
• Utilise laser welding, soldering and specialist setting techniques to the highest standard.
• Complete mount-up work, retipping, claw rebuilding, polishing and rhodium plating.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure all work meets company standards.
• Manage gemstone stock and support inventory control.
• Mentor and develop workshop colleagues, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
• Support workflow planning and deliver productivity, quality and efficiency targets.
• Proven experience as a Senior Stone Setter, Master Stone Setter or highly experienced Bench Jeweller.
• Expert knowledge of diamond and coloured gemstone setting techniques.
• Extensive experience working with platinum, gold, silver and palladium.
• Advanced laser welding, soldering and jewellery repair skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and communication skills.

5 days on-site per week, including some weekend working on a rota basis.
