Job summary

Allen Lane Limited is supporting a globally recognised organisation to appoint a Senior Category Manager within their STEM procurement function. You will own a significant spend portfolio and work with senior stakeholders to drive commercial value and supplier performance.

Lead category and supplier management, negotiate contracts, and champion continuous improvement across a large, visible STEM portfolio. Drive sustainability and guide procurement colleagues in a world-class environment.

Qualifications

• Strong category management, procurement or commercial experience.
• Track record of delivering measurable outcomes, savings and service improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience managing suppliers, contracts and commercial negotiations.
• Experience operating within large, complex organisations.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and change.
• Leadership or team management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead category and supplier management across a large STEM spend portfolio.
• Drive commercial negotiations and contractual value delivery.
• Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships.
• Champion process improvement and change initiatives.
• Use spend and supplier data to identify efficiencies and opportunities.
• Support sustainability objectives and responsible sourcing initiatives.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to procurement colleagues.
• Partner with a wide range of technical, operational and senior stakeholders.
