Statistician – WALTHAM Petcare Science Institute

Waltham-on-the-Wolds, Leicestershire | Hybrid working available

At Mars Petcare, we believe science and data can make a better world for pets. WALTHAM is our global science centre, driving innovation in pet nutrition, health, and care. We're looking for a Statistician to join our Data Analytics team and support research through high-quality experimental design and data analysis.

You’ll collaborate with scientists and partners across Mars Petcare, providing statistical insights that shape real-world outcomes for pets. Projects may include evaluating microbiome changes or assessing new lab methods for biomarkers. You’ll also support a culture of rigorous, data-driven science by sharing knowledge and best practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • PhD or Master’s in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field

  • Strong skills in R, Python is a plus

  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis and sample size estimation

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience in life sciences or R&D is an advantage

Key Responsibilities

  • Peer-review analytical work and contribute to shared code libraries
