Job summary

ScottishPower Renewables seeks a senior Stakeholder Engagement Lead to manage relationships with communities, authorities and industry groups across the full project lifecycle. You will develop engagement strategies, lead consultations, and represent projects at public events.

The role requires strong negotiation, communication and project management skills, with travel across the North of England. Contract until 31/12/2026 with strong scope to continue.

Qualifications

• Degree in Public Relations, Communications or Stakeholder Engagement.
• Significant renewable energy sector experience.
• Proven background in stakeholder engagement, community relations or public affairs.
• Experience delivering stakeholder engagement strategies in complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies for renewable energy projects from development through operation.
• Build and maintain relationships with communities, local authorities, government bodies and industry groups.
• Lead public consultations, stakeholder events, information days and inquiries.
• Support planning and consenting activities ensuring alignment with policy and regulatory requirements.
• Act as primary relationship manager for communities around projects.
• Negotiate and manage community benefit agreements and investment initiatives.
