Job Description:

At Ouster, we build sensors and tools for engineers, roboticists, and researchers, enabling safer and more efficient solutions. We have transformed LIDAR technology from an analog device to a digital device powered by a chip-scale laser array and CMOS sensor, offering high-resolution sensors at lower costs. Our sensors are used in autonomous vehicles, drones, and more. We are seeking a Digital IC Design Engineer to design next-generation LiDAR systems. The ideal candidate has experience in digital circuit design, verification for ASIC/Mixed-Signal SoCs, or FPGA design with an interest in ASIC development. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, start-up environment with significant impact.

Responsibilities:

• Define digital SOC architecture & blocks
• Write specifications
• Collaborate with analog IC designers and subcontractors
• Design synthesis, timing closure, and STA experience preferred
• Debug RTL/gate level simulations
• Work with firmware, hardware, software, and analog IC design teams
• Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations
• Prototype with FPGA (desirable)
• P&R experience (bonus)
• MATLAB modeling (bonus)

Qualifications:

• BSc in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 8-10+ years of industrial digital design experience
• Knowledge of full IC design flow
• Experience in automotive electronics (a plus)
