DaVita UK is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse to deliver high-quality holistic care and safe haemodialysis at the Tolworth dialysis clinic in the Kingston area of London. The role requires NMC registration and renal nursing experience, with a strong focus on patient-focused care and teamwork.

You will work within a nurse-led, collaborative environment, teaching and supporting staff while ensuring the highest standards of safety and clinical practice in a modern setting.

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Nurse with renal nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe haemodialysis treatment for patients as prescribed.
• Promote patient-focused care and educate patients and staff as needed.
• Demonstrate competence in cannulation and dialysis machine operation; teach others.
• Maintain a safe environment and minimize risks associated with hazardous chemicals and blood exposure.
• Support cross-site coverage and participate in collaborative education with referring trusts.
• Adhere to DaVita UK procedures and policies.

This role is a full time position at our Tolworth dialysis clinic around Kingston area in London.Main ResponsibilitiesProvide safe haemodialysis treatment for patients as per their prescriptionTo promote patient focused careWhile working as a team member demonstrate competence and share specialist knowledge and skills to all team members to develop clinical and professional nursing practiceMaintain safe practice in a safe environment, ensuring procedures to minimise the risks associated with the use of hazardous chemicals and exposure to blood inherent in the dialysis process are adhered toTo demonstrate a high degree of co-ordination and dexterity when cannulating access for dialysis. To be able to teach and assess other staff membersTo actively reduce the risk of injury to staff by promoting a safe environment and consideration of personal safeties when cannulating i.e. prevent needlestick injury and prevent back injuryTo demonstrate competence with the use of dialysis machines required to dialyse patients. To be able to prepare, use and clean said equipment and to programme and deliver individual patient treatments.
