A leading healthcare provider in London is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse for its Spinal/Thoracic team. This role involves managing the nursing care for inpatients and includes responsibilities to lead the team and coordinate patient follow-ups. Senior Staff Nurse – Spinal / Thoracic – London: The Princess Grace Hospital. Full time: 37.5 hours per week. Shift times: Monday – Sunday (flexibility to work long days, nights & weekends). Permanent contract. Salary: competitive dependent on experience plus 9% shift allowance.
We’re looking for a Senior Staff Nurse to join our Inpatients Spinal/ Thoracic Team at the Princess Grace Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC. You will work with supportive colleagues and Specialist Consultants, benefiting from training on up‑to‑date innovative equipment and treatments, helping you to become more of an expert in your field.
As a Senior Staff Nurse within the Spinal/ Thoracic department, you will assess, plan, deliver and implement a high standard of nursing care, responding to individual needs. In the absence of the Sister you will provide management and leadership to all staff, and act as a point of contact for patients following discharge.

Provide high‑quality nursing care for spinal/thoracic inpatients, assessing patient needs, planning care, delivering treatment and evaluating outcomes. Lead and manage staff in the absence of the Sister and coordinate patient discharge follow‑up as required.
The Princess Grace Hospital has 127 registered beds, including 90 inpatient beds, 21 day case beds, 8 endoscopy beds, an urgent care unit and a Level 3 intensive care unit with 9 beds, 24‑hour consultant cover and a high dependency unit. The hospital houses specialised centres including: The London Breast Institute; The London Digestive Centre; and The Institute of Sport Exercise and Health.
