Nuffield Health Derby Hospital is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse to lead and mentor a multi‑specialty team, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

You will be NMC registered with post‑registration experience and teaching/assessment qualifications. The role offers 37.5 hours per week, with some weekend work, and a competitive salary up to £46,000 plus a benefits package including gym membership and pension options.

Qualifications

As a Senior Staff Nurse at our hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will:

• Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring
• Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be
• Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient’s needs
• Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care

• Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training undefined
