Shift times: Monday – Sunday based on internal rotation, flexibility required for long days, nights, and weekends
Permanent contract
Salary: Competitive depending on experience plus 9% shift allowance

Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Staff Nurse to join our Orthopaedic and General Surgery team at The Lister Hospital, rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.

As a Senior Staff Nurse in our 20-bed surgical ward, caring for Orthopaedics, GI/Colorectal, Gynaecology, Breast Surgery, and General Surgery patients, your main responsibilities include planning, delivering, and evaluating high standards of nursing care within a multidisciplinary team. You will deputize for senior staff, demonstrating leadership and management skills, supervise junior and temporary staff, and uphold clinical standards, policies, and research-based practices.

Candidate Requirements

• Registered Nurse Level 1 with NMC registration and PREP requirements
• Extensive UK hospital experience, preferably in surgical environments
• ENB course or relevant experience desirable
• Knowledge of NMC guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Basic Life Support certification
