Job description

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and dynamic individual for the role of Senior Theatre Scrub Practitioner. The successful candidate will provide leadership, management, and support to the surgical scrub team leader, ensuring the provision of high-standard, evidence-based patient care, with 24-hour responsibility for the clinical area.

Currently, we have nine surgical suites specializing in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, HANS, Ear, Nose & Throat, Dental, and Max-fax. The ideal candidate must demonstrate enthusiasm, empathy, professionalism, and a friendly bedside manner.

The post holder will ensure patients receive necessary intraoperative and postoperative care through the application of specialist knowledge, skills, and practice. This role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including Consultants, Deputy Chief Nurse, Head of Nursing, Matrons, and junior staff. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly in a fast-paced environment.
