We are seeking aSenior Staff Nurse (Band 6)to join our expert Cancer Nursing Team atThe Wellington Hospital, part ofHCA Healthcare UK.
However,if you are a Band 5 Staff Nursewith aminimum of 3 years’ experience in oncology nursingand are anapproved chemotherapy giverwho has beenindependently administering chemotherapy for at least 6 months, wewelcome your applicationand encourage you to take the next step in your oncology career.
Our hospital is rated “Good” by the CQC and proudly holds theMacmillan Quality Environment Mark Award, reflecting our commitment to exceptional cancer care. Our purpose-builtMedical Oncology Unitincludes17 oncology beds and 2 neuroendocrine suites, providing bespoke, patient-centred care.
You’ll be part of a dedicated, skilled and supportive team delivering high standards of specialist oncology care. Working in a highlynurse-led environment, you’ll benefit from greater autonomy in patient assessments and treatment planning, with a typicalnurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4– enabling truly individualised care.

What you’ll bring:
Current NMC Nurse registration
Ideally a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse, OR
A Band 5 Nursewith:Minimum3 years’ post-registration oncology nursing experience
Experience as anapproved chemotherapy giver (SACT)
At least 6 months of independently consolidated chemotherapy administration

Strong knowledge of systemic anti-cancer treatments (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiotherapy, etc.) and their side effects
