Job Description: Senior Staff Nurse - Critical Care at Barts Hospital | Critical Care | Bank | Includes weekend work
Up to £30 - £40 an hour, depending on experience

Main duties of the job

Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring.
Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be.
Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient's needs.
Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care.
Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students.
Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews, and training.

About us

Nuffield Health Barts Hospital is the City of London's only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew's NHS hospital. It is our flagship center for cardiac services and provides a full range of surgical and medical services, including orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynecology, and urology. The hospital has 55 beds, including 7 intensive care beds, four advanced digital operating theatres, and a full diagnostic imaging suite.

Job responsibilities

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will:

Qualifications and Experience

You must be registered with the NMC and hold relevant qualifications and experience, including post-registration experience, mentoring, and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management, are desirable.
