Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Staff Nurse for our chemo day care unit in London. The role offers a permanent position with a salary of up to £43,000 per annum DOE plus benefits.

As Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for working in a supporting experienced nursing team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of specialist care. This includes meeting patients' medical, physical, and emotional needs by effectively communicating with them and their families.

As deputy to the sister/charge nurse, the senior staff nurse ensures the highest standards of clinical care are delivered. This involves being an advocate for the patient, working within the multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the day-to-day smooth running of the unit.

Responsibilities and Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • NMC registered Nurse
  • Experienced/competent in Chemotherapy administration
  • Post registration experience within haematology or oncology setting or equivalent
  • Clinical skills in venepuncture, cannulation, and the administration of intravenous drugs
  • Wide and evidence-based knowledge of systemic anti-cancer treatments
