Overview

Senior Staff Nurse - Panto Ward

Part Time Permanent Band 6 Junior Sister/Senior Staff Nurse on Panto Ward. Pantomine Ward (Gastroenterology and Liver diseases). The ward has achieved silver accreditation and prides itself on developmental opportunities and learning. Teamwork is paramount and staff are focused on implementing changes for exceptional patient care. The unit works closely with all members of the MDT, focusing on effective and safe discharge of patients. The post offers opportunities to work within different areas to develop and extend skills in a supported environment. Welsh language skills are desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Takes responsibility for a ward or equivalent sphere of nursing in the absence of the person with 24-hour responsibility at Band 7.
  • Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care.
  • Manages a group of staff in the absence of the Ward Sister.
  • Delivers high-quality, evidence-based nursing care from admission through to discharge, within designated clinical areas.
  • Works closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient care and discharge.
