Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Staff Digital Design Engineer in our Research & Development team to merge creativity with technical expertise, shaping the future of technology in automotive and memory subsystems.

You will design and review CPU subsystems or non-volatile memories, define microarchitecture, ensure functional safety, mentor juniors, and collaborate with hard macro designers, verification, digital design and firmware engineers to deliver robust IP

Qualifications

• A degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or a related field of study.
• 5+ years relevant working experience in design and implementation of complex digital circuits.
• Strong expertise with digital design flows including RTL/gate-level simulation, Linting, logic synthesis, STA, UPF (low power design) and DfT.
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog or VHDL.
• Good programming and scripting skills in C, Python, Perl or similar languages.
• Fluency in English (mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and/or review subblocks of CPU subsystems or non-volatile memories (NVM)
• Contribute to the specification and definition of the microarchitecture of CPU subsystems or non-volatile memories for automotive applications
• Ensure that digital design meets the requirements regarding functional safety and security
• Lead the implementation of key design features and support technical decision-making within your area of responsibility
• Collaborate closely with hard macro designers, verification, digital design and firmware engineers to produce thoroughly verified, robust IP
• Support the development of innovative architecture by using the latest design techniques and tools
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to team members
