Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced semiconductor product engineer with a proven track record of managing automotive products through the full NPI process, including all safety analyses and documentation. The ideal candidate is proactive, self-driven, and capable of leading functional teams to execute processes and workflows, with deep knowledge of DFT, packaging, fabrication, process modelling, and qualification. This role offers the opportunity to influence automotive and functional safety processes within Semtech's SIP business unit.

Responsibilities
  • Lead quality assurance and compliance throughout the product lifecycle, from definition to volume production
  • Contribute to the development of automotive product and safety processes, including QMS documentation
  • Coordinate functional teams to perform safety assessments such as ASIL, fault tree analysis, PPAP, DFMEA, TFMEA & FMEDA
  • Apply knowledge of Zero Defect Framework and AEC-Q004 to ensure automotive quality standards
  • Share expertise on process issues, reliability, and performance parameters with cross-disciplinary teams
  • Support manufacturability activities, including DfT, yield analysis, COP, and test coverage
  • Collaborate with test engineering for product and test solution development onshore and at OSAT
  • Lead failure analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective actions for field returns
  • Perform capability, margin, and yield modeling on new products
  • Manage manufacturing documentation for transfer and maintenance
  • Plan and execute production ramp-up and handover to sustaining teams
Minimum Qualifications
  • BSc in a relevant engineering discipline
  • At least five years of experience as a semiconductor product engineer in mixed-signal, preferably automotive, applications
  • Knowledge of quality standards like JEDEC, ISO-26262, AEC-Q100, and statistical analysis techniques such as dPAT and SPC
  • Understanding of wafer fabrication processes and controls
  • Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) like Advantest 93k for wafer probing and packaged products
