Position: Senior Staff Analog Design Engineer
Location: Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Employment: Permanent

My client is looking for a Senior Staff Analog Design Engineer to join their Edinburgh, UK location. The role will be to join an established team developing high-performance data converter ICs and amplifiers for consumer markets. As part of this role, you'll design top-notch delta-sigma/SAR ADCs and DACs. You'll also have the chance to contribute to designing various amplifiers, DC/DC converters, and more in advanced CMOS processes. This pivotal role offers excellent opportunities for personal and professional growth in a dynamic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Drive and decide key technical system requirements for mixed-signal IC development
  2. Build the analog toplevel, defining power strategy and toplevel layout placement
  3. Familiar with analog-on-top or digital-on-top design flows
  4. Experience of ADC/DAC and or DC/DC designs
  5. Experienced in ESD and IO driver design
  6. Simulation of toplevel systems in Virtuoso Spectre (or similar)
  7. Lead design reviews
  8. Take an active role in mentoring other engineers
  9. Review and sign-off of the chip top level for tape out
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  1. BSc / MSc with several years of proven IC development experience
  2. Strong skills in CMOS analog design and layout
  3. Proven experience in coordinating small teams of engineers from design to successful tape-outs
  4. Solid understanding of using Verilog-A, and System Verilog or Matlab
  5. Organized and detailed with strong communication skills
  6. Possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Results-oriented and thrive in a dynamic environment
