Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced SQL Developer Lead to spearhead the design, development and maintenance of SQL-based data solutions within the FS domain. You will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable data platforms that support reporting, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Hybrid working mix includes offices, client sites and home, with hands-on leadership of data warehousing, performance tuning, and data quality controls.

Qualifications

• Expertise in T-SQL development including stored procedures, functions and complex queries.
• Strong ability to diagnose performance issues using execution plans and indexing strategies.
• Experience with data quality assertions, automation and repeatable evidence for reporting.
• Understanding of secure data handling, access controls, auditing and risk requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and maintenance of SQL-based data applications.
• Design, build and optimise data models and datasets for reporting and governance.
• Engineer resilient batch and near-real-time data processing with profiling and root-cause analysis.
• Own performance tuning and capacity planning for SQL Server workloads to meet SLAs.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts and control owners to translate security and risk requirements.
• Mentor peers, drive coding standards, reviews and release discipline; manage delivery risks.
