Location: Predominantly remote, with occasional travel to CardiffContract Length: 6 months, with the option to extend

About the Role

We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and motivated SQL Developer to join our Software Applications Team. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will:

Work in structured Scrum teams under experienced leadsDeliver individual software componentsBe involved in MS SQL Server development, including design, implementation, and performance optimisationBroaden your skills through collaboration and mentorshipKey Responsibilities

Develop and optimise MS SQL Server databases (design, implementation, performance tuning)Write complex T-SQL stored procedures and functions to support application developmentWork within an Agile Scrum team, delivering high-quality database solutionsUtilise SQL Server Management Studio (Apply online only)) and SSIS packages (2008+) for data workflowsContribute to database normalisation and ER-diagramming for efficient database designRequired Skills & Experience

Strong T-SQL skills, with experience writing stored procedures and functionsProficiency in SQL Server Management Studio (Apply online only))Experience creating and using SSIS packages (2008+)Expertise in database design, including normalisation and ER-diagramming

Experience with XML Web Services or Web APIs. Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, SOAP UI). Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Azure DevOps, TFS). Exposure to Microsoft Azure Cloud services. Understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR). Proficiency with Redgate SQL developer tools and performance tuning solutions. Experience with High Availability (Mirroring, Replication, Clustering, Always On). Power BI skills for data visualization and reporting.

Working Arrangements:

Reporting to Senior Product Specialist6-month contract, with potential extensionRemote-first role, with occasional travel to Cardiff
