Job summary

Tiro Contracts - Contract & Interim Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Supplier Quality Engineer for a hybrid role in Crewe. You will ensure supplier parts meet quality and programme requirements from concept through production launch and series manufacture.

The role requires a strong background in supplier quality engineering within the automotive sector, with APQP/PPAP experience and proven supplier development capabilities. Occasional travel to Europe is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong Supplier Quality Engineering background with vehicle manufacturer experience.
• Experience with APQP and PPAP processes.
• Proven ability to drive supplier quality improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality planning for priority bought-in parts and ensure lineage to design specs.
• Provide technical support on complex supplier quality issues across production and field.
• Drive improvements with external suppliers to meet product quality targets.
• Ensure visibility of supplier quality performance and nominate compliant suppliers.

Job description

New contract available for an experienced SQA Engineer with a luxury vehicle manufacturer. As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring supplied parts meet quality, performance, and programme requirements from concept through to production launch and series manufacture.

What's on Offer:

• Hybrid Working: 3 days on site in Crewe
• 37-hour week
• Ltd company (can offer outside IR35)
• Occasional European supplier travel
• ASAP start, current end date 23rd December, it it anticipated that the contract will be reviewed every 6 months

Key Tasks:

• Quality planning activities for all priority 1 bought in parts, maturation in line with design specification and approval of parts and completion of 2DP process
• Technical support on complex Supplier Quality issues including KAF, Production and Field
• Drive quality improvements at external suppliers to ensure Product Quality targets are achieved
• Ensure the company has the right information related to supplier quality performance to nominate suppliers that achieve the group quality standards

What We're Looking For:

• Strong Supplier Quality Engineering background gained with a vehicle manufacturer
• APQP and PPAP
• Supplier management and supplier development experience
• Proven problem-solving capability within manufacturing environment
• Experience managing quality issues through structured methodologies
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Driving licence and willingness to travel when required
