We are looking for a Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) to join our adult acute team at St Mary's Hospital (SMH) on a Fixed Term Contract. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly across the entire admission and inpatient pathway including: emergency department (ED), acute medical unit (AMU), and speciality ward areas including respiratory, medicine for the elderly, general medicine, major trauma, neurosurgery and vascular surgery. Service cover for Critical Care may also be required, depending on the service needs and the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
You will contribute to multidisciplinary working, further developing your clinical skills and participating in service development and training others. Staff are actively encouraged and supported to participate in CPD activities and audit and research.
We hold weekly videofluoroscopy clinics and provide a FEES service. You will be supported in the development of your skills in these areas in line with your learning needs.
