• Knowledge of BRC and retailer audit requirements desired.

Senior Specification Technologist

38,000 - 40,000 per annum

Monday - Friday (Apply online only)

Hybrid after probation 3 days onsite

Near to Bala, Wales

Henderson Brown are partnered with a leading and growing food production organisation who are looking for a Senior Specification Technologist to advise and mentor others within the team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within specification writing and have a problem solving approach. They are looking for experience with major retailers throughout the UK.

Responsibilities Senior Specification Technologist

• The writing and completion of all finished product specifications for retailers, customers and own brand products.
• Supplier specification approval and supplier onboarding.
• Support the NPD team with theoretical nutritional calculations and submission form completion as part of the NPD gate process and product submissions.
• Partake in pre and post launch reviews as required.
• Basic knowledge of BRC and retailer audit requirements.
• Awareness of supplier approval and raw material specification knowledge and supporting raw material risk assessment and supplier approval process as required.
• Specification completion to a gold (high) standards, right first time and to meet KPIs.

Requirements Senior Specification Technologist

• Knowledge of 3 of the major retailer systems, codes of practice and requirements.
• Packaging and labelling experience.
• Food based qualification.
• Proven track record within specification writing.
• Awareness and understanding of sustainability requirements.
• Commutable distance from Bala, Wales.
