How you will create an impact

• This is a key leadership role within our Professions team, where you will be responsible for achieving goals and outcomes. You will manage colleagues and oversee various programs and processes, in addition to handling complex underwriting tasks.
• You will succeed by balancing stakeholder needs and making sound decisions based on data, analysis, experience, judgment, and a risk-aware mindset. Building effective relationships with brokers and delivering high-standard customer service will be essential.
• People management is crucial—you will promote a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and learning, mentoring and developing colleagues through leadership, role modeling, and training. Facilitating personal growth and career development to support succession planning is also key.
• You will play a significant role in new business development, including attending broker events and building new market relationships.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven underwriting experience in Professional Lines and a successful record of selling products to clients.
• Deep technical expertise.
• Experience in people management and developing junior colleagues.
• The ability to analyze financial statements.
• Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Customer and sales-oriented behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable.
