Overview

Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist - York at our centre focused on neurorehabilitation, collaborative team environment, and opportunities to advance expertise in a vibrant setting.

Responsibilities
  • Operate as an autonomous speech and language therapist within a dynamic multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct assessments to understand how communication affects daily life and provide tailored interventions.
  • Collaborate with individuals and their support networks to address and solve communication challenges.
  • Develop and implement management plans for communication rehabilitation, including seeking specialist assessments as needed.
  • Facilitate training sessions for staff and social networks of our service users.
  • Play a crucial role in service development and organisational growth.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy; HCPC registered; Dysphagia Competencies.
  • Deep understanding of SLT models, particularly in acquired brain injury scenarios.
  • Experience in complex dysphagia management within an adult neurology caseload.
  • Minimum of four years of professional experience managing complex cases.
