Role & Responsibilities
Creating and updating best-practice guidance for residential surveyors, ensuring it stays ahead of regulatory and market developments.
Advising on emerging sector trends like energy efficiency, retrofitting, and the use of AI and data in property assessments.
Acting as a trusted voice with government and industry, representing professional interests in key discussions.
Managing multiple projects simultaneously, from standard-setting to professional training initiatives.
Supporting professional colleagues through mentoring and expert advice, including contributions to conferences and publications.
Exprience
Extensive experience in residential surveying, inspection, or related housing standards.
Chartered professional status (MRICS or FRICS) or equivalent credibility.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex technical issues clearly.
Strong project leadership skills, balancing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Knowledge of sustainability, retrofit practices, and digital innovation in residential property.
Influence the future direction of residential surveying at a national and global level.
