Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking a Highly Specialist Psychological Therapist to join the Northumberland Talking Therapies service. You will deliver specialist psychological assessments, formulate and provide evidence-based interventions to adults with moderate to complex mental health needs within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

You will work with supervision, contribute to service development, teaching and audit, and support colleagues across the service.

Qualifications

• Hold a HCPC registered qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology or a core mental health qualification with a Postgraduate Diploma in CBT.
• Be BABCP accredited (or accreditable) as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and trained in at least one additional psychological therapy model.
• Experience within NHS Talking Therapies and understanding of the stepped care model.
• Experience with complex mental health needs, including trauma and co-morbidity.
• Experience in psychological assessments, risk assessments and risk management planning.
• Experience delivering NICE-compliant clinical supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based interventions.
• Manage a clinical caseload and conduct risk assessments.
• Contribute to teaching, training, supervision, audit and service development.
• Support development of colleagues and participate in service improvement initiatives.
• Flexible working including some evenings and Saturdays.
