Overview

Mastercard Foundry is the innovation engine of Mastercard and a hub for new product development. We focus on driving product innovation in emerging technologies and interfaces, developing new solutions and use-cases, and building revenue-generating ecosystems that can operate independently in adjacent segments and markets. Focus areas include commercial payments, new payment flows, real-time payments, data, and services.

Within Foundry, the Senior Specialist, Product Development supports the execution of new-to-market product development across core payments and services. Responsibilities include identifying, executing, and delivering new products and solutions, including near-term opportunities that generate significant revenue and strategic differentiation for Mastercard, as well as longer-term product concepts and solutions testing.

Role:

• Engage in idea generation for new-to-market products and solutions, including workshop facilitation and collateral development.
• Contribute to developing product concepts and prototypes, driving and delivering key tasks.
• Partner with Product & Engineering teams and our CX&D team on concept validation and market testing, independently owning and delivering key tasks.
• Contribute to and own business case development and planning for individual products.
• Own and deliver high-quality collateral materials to facilitate internal decision-making.
• Partner with CXD, Product, and Engineering teams to articulate user stories and product requirements clearly.
• Work within a matrixed organization to influence and drive outcomes within tight timelines.

All About You

• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Extensive product development experience, including rapid opportunity identification, concept development, business model innovation, and in-market testing of global products.
• Deep understanding of the commercial payment ecosystem and global payments landscape.
• Previous experience in payments innovation, delivering new-to-market value propositions.
• Critical thinker comfortable with technical details, with experience working with engineering teams.
• Ability to connect people and ideas; operate effectively in a matrix environment.
• Right to work in the UK without restriction.
