Job description

Senior Specialist Physiotherapist - Ipswich

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for assessing service user needs, particularly to optimise independence and physical function.
  2. Undertake comprehensive assessments of service users, using investigative and analytical skills to formulate individualised rehabilitation and treatment plans.
  3. Promote choice in all aspects of clinical practice, review and suggest enhancements to improve the service user experience, and facilitate the raising of concerns and complaints by service users and their representatives.
  4. Liaise and communicate with other health and social care professionals and volunteers in the planning and delivery of occupational therapy.
  5. Ensure appropriate prescription, provision, and maintenance of equipment within available resources.
  6. Maintain up-to-date written and electronic records in accordance with Professional and Brankind standards, ensuring sensitive information is securely held.
  7. Demonstrate clinical leadership and promote clinical supervision.
  8. Share knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching.
  9. Lead the local training plan for Brainkind staff to provide physiotherapy interventions as part of overall care.
  10. Facilitate the safe and smooth running of the service, maintain a safe working environment, uphold service user confidentiality, and undertake additional reasonable tasks as needed.
