We are delighted to be able to offer a rare and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Pharmacist to join the Paediatric Haematology/Oncology/BMT Pharmacy Team at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
We are looking for someone special to provide a clinical Cancer Service to the Inpatient and Day-Care Wards (both NHS and Private Patients) as well as supporting the Principal Pharmacist deliver Directorate responsibilities in a fast paced tertiary Paediatric centre. You will be part of an expert multidisciplinary team contributing to the safe and pharmaceutically appropriate clinical service to children with Cancer including dealing with many Cancer Trials. You will be at the forefront of Paediatric Cancer and see rare and challenging cases. This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate and has an interest in Paediatric Haematology and Oncology as well as contributing to improving the patient/carer experience in medicines use.
The role will be rotational within the Cancer Directorate to ensure there is knowledge and cross cover between all areas.
You must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills and be a self-starter. You must also have experience working within Paediatrics and/or a degree of Cancer Care knowledge including delivering a ward based Pharmacist role. Some experience of training/supervision is desirable, as well as being an Independent Prescriber. The team of Pharmacists you will join are experienced and extremely supportive.
